Hello everyone, welcome to the new hub of information for the next generation of solution providers who are daring enough to build. This is something I have been trying to do for a while and putting my thoughts on paper has been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. At church one Sunday the message was about taking the first steps and “Being Bold and Courageous” and so here I am! There’s something exhilarating about stepping into your calling even though it seems like the unknown. It is the path into a new territory, with new challenges and exciting adventures.
In 2020 when the world was on lockdown, I kept asking myself this question “How will businesses survive and thrive?”. The question was triggered when I realised that one of my favourite pubs on Marylebone High Street was shutting down! A treasured gem for us Regents University London Alumni (Shoutout Regents). Around the same time a few friends and acquaintances who had started businesses were seeking angel investment (friends and family round). This piqued my curiosity and I went on a learning expedition to discover all things startup investing. It is safe to say I don’t know everything but I got enough insight to proceed on a few small sized tickets. With that being said, my question wasn’t fully answered. I’m sure we all agree that money helps a lot but we’ve seen so many businesses raise crazy amounts and still pack it up. So my search for the right answer continued even though I had found some of the ways.
In 2021, Stripe acquired Paystack and I happened to have a few friends working there. From the outside looking in, I discovered that collaboration was a major key to businesses thriving. With this understanding, I went on to create a business that would solve the problem of businesses failing due a lack of collaborative support. You can have all the ideas and information in the world, but it is the refinement and exposure of these ideas that will help you grow from a rooted position; this is where Planteer comes in.
So here we are; introducing Planteer, a venture builder focused on the next generation of solution-providing businesses. As a business development professional myself, I have always been interested in connecting people and creating avenues for companies to work together that are tackling problems and creating ease in a pretty chaotic world. Planteer has been set up to give businesses all the nutrients they need to grow and connect people to create something special.
At Planteer we aim to be hands on helping you build, create collaboration opportunities, and be an extra set of eyes and ears as we build something to aid the present and the future. Think of us as your Co-founders jumping in at the earliest stage of your business. We are looking forward to working with you and sharing the amazing things we are working on as we journey together.
